Public summary
Meta is building the largest single-campus data-center design publicly disclosed in MISO: 5 GW at full build on ~2,250 acres in northeast Louisiana, with a ~2 GW first phase targeted by 2030. Planned floor area near 4 million square feet ranks it among the largest buildings on earth. Entergy is building ~3,800 MW of new gas generation to serve the campus. (IEEE Spectrum via Quartz, May 2026.)
Grid relevance
Entergy is adding 3.8 GW of new gas generation for one customer. The project shows a utility rebuilding its generation plan around a single hyperscale load.
