Public summary
Former industrial site in western New York converted to a phased AI data-center campus. Fluidstack leased 200 MW of critical IT load in an August 2025 10-year deal backed by Google (which holds ~8% of TeraWulf). Buildout follows a NYISO-approved phased plan. Draws from a regional grid that is ~90% zero-carbon with surplus availability.
Grid relevance
One of the most concrete large-load data-center commitments in NYISO, where the large-load queue grew from ~1 GW to ~12 GW since 2022. Demonstrates the brownfield-conversion, surplus-power siting strategy NYISO favors.
